Hummus Hustle opens in James Place
Adelaide's first hummus bar
23.07.2025
Adelaide is about to welcome a delicious new addition to its food scene with the opening of Hummus Hustle, the city’s first dedicated hummus bar, set to launch on July 23 at 13 James Place.
Founded by brothers Roger, Riyan, and Kareem Awar, Hummus Hustle is more than just a culinary venture—it’s a heartfelt tribute to their Lebanese heritage and the generations of family recipes passed down from their mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. “To most people, hummus is a dip. To our family, it’s home,” says Roger.
The menu centers around build-your-own dishes featuring house-made hummus in flavors like beetroot, harissa, basil pesto, and traditional. Guests can choose a base—bowl, pita, or wrap—and top it with proteins such as falafel or baked chicken and beef shawarma. Everything is made fresh daily, including drinks and sauces like their zesty tahini lemon dressing.
